11321 Bright Green Seaglass + Sea Turtle Necklace

This special translucent green glass pendant has a majestic sea turtle charm, and is a little under 2″ long and 1.5″ wide andincluding the silver color copper wire wrapping and bale, and comes with a 24″ bright silver colored metal chain. Mālama i ka ‘āina, and Mālama  i ke kai, a Mālama ke kai ia ‘oe  translates to Respect and Care for the Land, and, Care for the ocean, and the ocean will care for you.   These are two of the most important parts of who I am and what I put into every piece I design and make.

Years ago, I was traveling and found myself on a beach photographing idyllic scenery and came upon a few majestic green sea turtles (honu) resting at the tideline. I was beyond awestruck by their presence, they are SO BIG and beautiful.  There was a volunteer there, making sure people stayed back and also sharing about the importance of picking up trash, especially at the beach, because the lives of these creatures and many many others depends on it. It’s something I had done here and there, throughout my life, but that struck a chord in me and I haven’t looked back. This necklace supports my continuing to honor the great honu, great green sea turtle, and pick up trash whenever I am in nature and create a cleaner future of us all.
