Being of Service
Consciously and intentionally sharing your time, skills, abilities, actions, efforts, all from a place of choosing means we give because we want to, not because we feel we have to. This is what comes from a place of pure love and will be received as love. And it’s one of the most amazing feelings in the world.
Our own experiences have shown us that being of service as conscious love in action is something that lights us up, that recharges our soul batteries, that expands and opens our hearts. It’s a connection to an energy greater than we are, and what may be described as creating heaven on earth.
Most importantly, it is something that is part of every day life, not just an annual day set aside to practice an act of kindness or two. It’s like earth day, beautiful soul. EVERY DAY is earth day, not just one day a year. And a growth mindset supports finding new ways and better ways to be of service to this planet and the beautiful souls that currently inhabit it. And we’re always looking for new ways and curious about what others do and how they do it.
Some of the ways we do this/we’ve done this (keep reading to see some of these photos of beautiful souls) …
Donating art and jewelry to various community raffles. Donating professional photography services to the Giving Campaign raffle and an organization that helps military spouses stay connected with their deployed loved ones. Offering free family photo session days to connect together in nature and play together. Free mini Sound Healing sessions. Complimentary Distance Reiki Sessions. Sliding scale senior portrait sessions. Donating technical skills (graphic design, web design, marketing collateral – business cards, brochures, flyers, etc.).
Environment Clean-up. This is a big one. When we’re out and about, adventuring, exploring, photographing, communing out doors, even if just pulled over on the side of a road, we pick up trash, and we ask everyone to pick up trash when they’re out and about and we can make this whole planet better together, for all of us. We can also choose to use refillable drink containers that we have to wash vs generating more trash with disposable coffee cups and plastic water bottles. Together, we are all making a difference, for everyone, especially our future generations.
