Cedar as a smudge tool, has been around for hundreds of years. People primarily work with it specifically to drive out negative energies and clear space to welcome new, positive inspirations. Ideal for a new home blessing ceremony.

Our cedar grows wildly on our Earthly Abundance homestead, and each tree is given an offering and asked to be honored through the creation and conscious, intentional distribution of these handcrafted wands. Once branches are gathered, they’re cleansed and thoroughly air dried and wrapped with 100% cotton thread (100% hemp string will be used in a few). They smell wonderful and have a delightfully calming, grounding energy.

NOTE:  Even when cedar is fully dried out, it tends to only burn for a short time. It’s not usually like sage smudge or a candle that stays lit. When smudging ourselves, we tend to have a white candle burning nearby and simply re-light as desired.
